I am so tired of people wanting every single Christian to be exactly alike. News Flash!! We are not! No two beings are alike, nope not even identical twins. There is always a quirk, a tick, a personality trait that is different.
What aligns us together is Jesus Christ. Its the life, death and blood of our Savior that unites us. If anything that is who we should try to be like and even then we will fall short.
We all are not called to preach to masses. Some of us can only minister to one or two with the example of our lives. Not everyone can sing, not everyone can lead services, some people can serve and others can pray. I know people who clean the church or wash dishes from feeding the less fortunate.
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. – 1 Peter 4:10
You do not need to do what everyone else is doing. Seek God and ask him to reveal your talent and purpose. I honestly believe you have a strong idea what that is already. That thing you can do or love to do without prompting or even trying really. Use your talent(s) for the glory of God.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, – Colossians 3:23
So do what you do best and honor God. Your focus should be on Christ and Christ alone. Don’t waste energy and time, wishing you had the talent of another. That’s kinda disrespectful to God, don’t ya think. Like in some way he made a mistake when it came to you and your gifts. -___- If you write then write and please God with your writings. If you are a fashionista, then honor God with the clothing you promote and wear. If you provide a service- driving, repairing, cleaning etc. then do as unto the Lord. But know that you do not have to be like anyone else but Christ. God only makes exclusives.
4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. – Romans 12:4-8
Love ya to Peace,
